So I installed a new pcm the other day and now I’m trying to get it to recognize my keys. I followed the instructions(turning it on and off, etc) but my car isn’t starting. I’m not even seeing a security light. Any pointers? Heyo! I've got an '05 Buick Allure that I came into possession of from my girlfriends grandfather after he was unable to drive anymore. He warned me of electrical issues, primarily a parasitic drain. I tried testing for the issue myself to no avail (amp meter on the fuses [inside and out]). After getting the key stuck in the ignition, I decided it was time to take it in to a nearby shop. After leaving the car with them for over a week, they claim it was the ignition cylinder + a bad battery. ...
It’s kind of strange. If I turn my car off for just a few minutes, it will have no problem starting back up. If I leave it off for an hour of more it has no problems starting up. It’s only if it’s off for maybe 15 to 60 minutes that it struggles to turn over. I’ll have to attempt to start at least 4 times for it to finally turn over. Just for your info, here is a list of parts I have replaced over the past year and a half. These parts were showing signs of failure; I was not experiencing my cur...

It’s a 2005 Buick LaCrosse CXL 3.8L 3800. P0300 code, replaced all spark plugs, wires, coil packs, etc... code reader also showed P0455 so I thought a vacuum leak was my cause of the misfire. Gas cap was missing an O-ring so I fixed that and replaced a bad EVAP purge valve and fixed the P0455 but the misfire persists. I also cleaned the MAF sensor and intake valve, didn’t think that was at fault but it needed it anyways. Any guesses? So recently my car's been doing something where if I haven't driven it in a couple hours when I first start to drive it'll rev really high before finally jerking into second. Like 5-6000rpms. Once it's finally shifted to second it's completely fine and shifts normally, but that first shift is really bad. The weird thing is that it only happens if it's been 2-4 hours since I last drove. If it's been sitting overnight or something it'll shift just fine, and if I just drove it it'll shift fine, it... I was looking to buy the LeSabre but someone beat me to it. I know the CXL has the 3.8L V6 which a is tank. I did a CarFax it a minor accident to the front bumper. It also has two open recalls for the headlights and for the ignition key. The price is $1,999 which is very fair.
2005 buick lacrosse fuse box diagram. I have a 2005 Buick Lacrosse CXS with the 3.6L V6. I just bought it as a project thinking it had engine issues, but I can't even start it to test that. When I turn the key all lights and interior items work as should, but I have no gear selector or fuel gauge. When I go to start the car all lights go out and nothing happens. I have got it to crank once but it required a bunch of random key turns and I can't get it to do it again. The battery is new, the starter was bench tested and I can't g... I am selling this car and someone was test driving it, and the car decides to overheat. White smoke was coming from under coolant near the passenger side of the engine. Hot air would NOT work in the car. After letting it cool for over an hour it heated up right away and I had it towed to the mechanic. Some coolant was lost (it was raining out so not sure where leak was). What would your gut think this would be - Gasket or Waterpump? Ssangyong Rodius Re-design - MISSION IMPOSSIBLE??? The Ssangyong Rodius is one of the ugliest cars in the world. Can we re-design the Ssangyong Rodius and make it less ugly? On I Installed a new pcm in my car but I’m having issues getting it to recognize my key. I followed the instructions(turning my car on and off, etc) but no luck, I don’t even see a security light. Any help would be appreciated.

The first time, I replaced both the thermostat and ECT sensor, and everything was normal. Then a few days ago I got the code again. I went ahead and again replaced the thermostat, gaskets, and ECT sensor as well as a new sensor connector. And today my engine temp was too low and I got the P0128 code again. I’m at a loss of explanation on what’s going on, considering I have replaced the two most common culprits twice. The coolant leve... Fuse box diagram is confusing. HORN is not listed anywhere and I really want to avoid pulling them out one by one. Thanks. ok. so the problem: part of the fuse panel is melted preventing me from installing a new fuse. how i found the problem (it's kinda long): ok. so i bought a car. i test drove it. checked everything i thought i should check. worked just fine. great. not great. a week after i bought it, it started having problems with starting, upshifting, rear view mirror control didn't function, no cruise control, and trunk wouldn't open. fek. first thing's first: transmission. af...

This part is on top of the fuel tank and it needs to be dropped in order to access the bad sensor. It seems like a straightforward process and I have access to lifts and transmission jacks, but fuel tanks are not something I have experience with. I’m fairly competent with tune ups and brake changes. What am I in store for with this? Is there any strange precautions that need to take care of? Or is this something that should always be ta... I’m looking at a 2005 Buick LaCrosse with 165000 miles for $1200, which is lower than the private retail price Edmunds gave me, at $2039. I will see the car in person tomorrow, but the seller told me the car still runs well, maybe the brakes need to be replaced, but that’s it. I heard a Buick with a V8 engine is reliable, so I’m hoping this car is legit. I’m rushing to get a car with a tight budget of below $2000, but I only need a car to last for one year before I get a better one, so idk if ... My windshield wiper fluid stopped working and I’m pretty sure it isn’t a leak but a blown fuse from the cold.
